MaidPro: The Gift of Time
Kathryn Boyce, franchise owner, characterizes MaidPro’s job as helping people enjoy their lives. “Our tagline is ‘It’s About Time’ and it’s really all about that—to save people time so they can go out and enjoy life,” and then come home to a clean house. “To know that someone has taken the time to treat it as if it were their own home is a wonderful feeling,” she says. “The home is straightened up, freshened up, and everything has been cleaned.”
MaidPro makes it a point to root out hidden dust and dirt. “We look for the dirt that a lot of people don’t find, and we’re also particular about how we clean.” For example, they clean dirt out of corners rather than leaving it to build up. “We take the same detailed approach with everything we clean,” Boyce says.
MaidPro does even more: it will document problems it finds, such as insect problems or water damage, that the customer may not be aware of.
And the company approaches cost estimates differently than other cleaning services do. Prospective customers can visit the MaidPro Web site and fill out a short estimate form online, or they can call the local office directly and get a quote on the phone.
Most people prefer this to the typical in-home estimate, says Boyce. “They appreciate not having the intrusion of setting aside time to give us a tour [in advance]” . . . If our quote is accepted, we ask for a tour of the home on the first cleaning visit in order to document the customer’s special needs or other considerations.”
MaidPro calls the customer the day before service as a reminder, and calls the day after to see if anything needs improvement. In addition, clients are encouraged to fill out a client feedback form after each visit. S
