The Venza represents a new direction in passenger cars for Toyota. Combining excellent fuel economy, innovative design, outstanding utility and excellent value, the Venza uses a single-grade strategy with simplified packages and stand-alone options that includes an impressive list of features. A crossover, it aims to blend the space and utility of an SUV, the comfort and smoothness of a sedan, and the style of a large hatchback for easy access.
The Venza is fitted with a standard 2.7-liter, four-cylinder engine with a towing capacity of 3,500 lbs. High on power and size, it’s low on fuel consumption and emissions: Estimated fuel economy is 21 mpg city/29 mpg highway with the standard engine and front-wheel drive. The Venza also offers a 3.5-liter V6 with an output of 268 horsepower.
Among the many features inside: a tilt/telescopic steering wheel with audio controls, cruise control, multi-information display, auto dual-zone air conditioning, remote keyless entry, electro-chromic rearview mirror with compass, center console with an iPod/MP3 storage, AM/FM six-disc CD player, rear wiper, privacy glass and more.
On the outside the Venza has wraparound tail lights that connect with the hatch door, a distinctive grille, an angled rear hatch and rear spoiler, and standard 20-inch alloy wheels for the V6 (19-inch for four-cylinder models).
The STAR safety system package consists of anti-lock brakes, traction control, electronic brake-force distribution, brake assistance, stability control, active head rests, seven airbags (including a driver’s knee airbag), side curtain airbags for both rows of seats, and front seat-mounted side airbags.
